AJ Parkes was selected this year to produce the Australian Industry Group'sIcon of Industry award - a prestigious award that recognises the contribution of an individual company to Queensland's long-term economic growth. 
  
      Our expert designers created a bold, industrial styled award to complement the event using a variety of laser-cut acrylics and powder coated metal parts. The base uses a unique slide-lock system, held together with chrome bolts/nuts to give the award it's industrial feel. The impressive 600mm high body uses clear and mirrored acrylic to give the metal AIG logo a floating effect. The overall result is a solid, yet detailed award which now takes pride of place in Buderim Ginger's (the award winners) reception area. 

      Being a 65 year member of AIG, AJ Parkes was honoured to be chosen to create this marvellous award and received, along with many other long-standing members, a membership recognition plaque. These plaques were designed to complement the award with many similar materials and colours used. 
  
      Based on our Concept Plaque style, the membership plaques included custom, laser cut side lettering displaying the years of membership and a laser cut, coloured vinyl AIG logo. The plaques themselves are a two-layer acrylic design using prestige chrome fittings and spacers. 

     AJ Parkes manufacture the magnificent medallions and pins for the Pride of Australia^TM. Now in its sixth year, the prideofaustralia^TM medal is made up of ten categories - Outstanding Bravery, Emergency Services, Community Spirit, Child of Courage, Young Leader, Care and Compassion, Inspiration, Environment, Fair Go and the Serving Australia. The winner of each of these categories will be rewarded with a unique sterling silver prideofaustralia^TM medal at a special ceremony held in each State and/or Territory.  

     A highly crafted medallion designed exclusively for News Corp around Australia, these    medals involve intricate sculptured detail and are each hand polished by our expert craftsmen. The design and concept of this medallion is unique in its shape, size and finish and took our designers many months of planning and trials to finally achieve and perfect the design to our customer's requirements. Each year we are praised for the quality and attention to detail by all the participants and organisers of the Pride of Australia presentations

As the proud supplier of awards, plaques and medallions to the Gold Coast Titans, AJ Parkes was recently called upon to custom design and manufacturer a series of awards for the Under 18's end of year presentations. The completely custom made awards comprised of various acrylics and colour effects on a silver timber base and were hand assembled to ensure they were of the highest quality finish. 
  
      AJ Parkes also supplied last years senior division awards, which included custom designed Titanium Medallions for the Player of the Year and a series of perpetual and giveaway awards. The medallions were the first of their kind in Australia and offered an award that was unique, prestigious and special.
